Founding of Amherst Invitational

This project is a student-founded, first-of-its-kind intercollegiate badminton tournament in the Northeast that brought together 90+ players from 8+ universities for a full-day competitive event. As the founder, I led end-to-end planning and execution: managing $2,000+ in cash flow, securing $2,500+ in sponsorships (including Yonex USA and campus partners), building the tournament website using React and Node.js, and coordinating logistics, finances, volunteers, and marketing. The project showcases large-scale event operations, cross-campus collaboration, and community building — transforming a simple idea into a high-impact tournament designed to be sustained as an annual tradition.
Upgrading the Facility’s LAN System for Small Family-owned Business

Tetsuya led the upgrade of the facility’s outdated LAN system, which was causing connectivity issues. As a key figure in the company, he facilitated scheduling, budgeting, and technical decisions.
Introducing Innovative Remote Technology

To address the remote working at the site with varoius mechineries, Tetsuya proposed and introduced Realwear Navigator 500 to streamline operation and reduce workload. He contacted and coordinated with RealWear representive, currenlty working together to request national IT grant.
Asset Liquidation

Tetsuya was responsible for the asset liquidation of the company's outdated equipment. He contacted and coordinated with local recycling companies, and managed the entire process from start to finish.

Marketing Strategy

Tetsuya spearheaded marketing efforts by developing presentations, websites, and pamphlets in Japanese, English, and Mandarin to cater to international clients. As a result, the company expanded its presence and attracted new customers, including Daihatsu—one of the largest automobile manufacturers in Japan.
